Connie Rose : a lifetime in the arts

"What I do, I do well.
What I don't do well,
I don't do at all."

- Connie Rose

Most definitely
Connie Rose, Sugar Loaf, NY

Connie is a world class instructor and renaissance woman whose goal is to help you, not impress you.

She has skills developed over a lifetime but will rarely admit even to competence.

And if you think pottery is her only passion, you have only seen a smidgeon of the Rose garden.

But Rose is far more interested in what you can do than in what she can do, so under Connie's careful tutelage you will learn much.

Plus she is fun, fun, fun, and daddy is not likely to take the T-bird away.

Imagine what it would be like creating informed and refined high quality art almost without thinking, just like Connie.

She will show you how.

Connie has even quit her day job to serve you better.

Cut-out freehand from the Sugar Loaf Guild brochure ...
pure genius

From this image the hand-hewn cupcake shown above
was cut by Connie, on the spot with hardly a thought.
Mary Endico, who painted the original
shouted, "Holy crap, outstanding!

That was hard, but Connie says the following is easy (and has shown lots of people that is true).

Take a lump of moist clay; wrap your hands around it spinning on the wheel; touch it with a couple of tools; toast it in the oven; and you have this:

Hand crafted 2½" ceramic jewelry case
thrown, carved, and fired by: Connie Rose

Connie will show how to make one yourself.
She will be more excited than you at your certain success.
Easy peasy.

Connie will probably draw something for you like the figure below while stepping you through it in order to make it all even easier.

Fig 1: Quick outline of tools and process to create jewelry box.

If you have your own pottery wheel, Connie will travel to you and help you in your own comfortable no-stress environment.
