UPDATE (by Bob Fugett): It has been more than 4 months since the Town of Chester posted their help wanted notification supposedly hoping to fill the position of Highway Superintendent after the former person went to jail for shooting a delivery guy in the back.
They have still not appointed someone, and the job remains vacant, so it is obvious they never intended to fill the vacancy.
In the meantime I volunteered to take over the spot but was treated as poorly as I have ever been treated, likely because they did not want a light shone on their activities.
It was as if I showed up with firefighting equipment at the door of their burning house only to be forced to endure several double-barreled pointless partisan grilling's before being denied entrance... all while the house continued burning to the ground around us.
The local heads of both the Republican and Democratic parties are the main blocks to my volunteerism.
Both of them are psychopathic toddlers, so I am moving on to other things that are actually taken seriously.
It is sad to see local government fall apart in this way, as has happened with Town of Chester, but that is a matter for voters to resolve.
Like I said:
Ineffective psychopath toddlers are currently pretending to be in charge.

Bob Fugett has officially declared his candidacy for Town of Chester Highway Superintendent.
He is running as a totally non-affiliated write-in candidate who is begging for your vote but not one cent of your dollar.
Some are confused by this because "civic duty" seems to have lost meaning.

To all those expressing excitement over his candidacy, Bob says:
I am not your answer.
I am your question.
HIS CAMPAIGN PROMISE: Currently the Town of Chester Highway Department workers are beloved throughout the town. I will make certain that remains the case. I am also rabidly Anti-Trump, Anti-Maga, thus Anti-Republican. Voting me into the position of Highway Superintendent will deny Republican access to another local office and the taxpayer money it provides. I will be donating my salary to the Warwick Humane Society and Goosepond Animal Hospital. Thank you for your vote.
